World Trade Center Welcome

The vibrant public artwork is a massive-scale street mural by the world-renowned Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra. Created as part of the World Trade Center Mural Project at the 2 WTC construction site, the piece is painted directly onto corrugated steel shipping containers and construction sheds.

True to Kobra’s signature style, the mural features a kaleidoscope of bright, geometric color blocks and bold lines overlaid on a photorealistic portrait. This specific installation depicts the face of a woman adorned with a floral headpiece, designed to represent peace, sensitivity, and global connection across continents.
